Last updated: 1 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information Cholan Technology Solutions Limited collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Cholan Technology Solutions Limited ("Cholan", "we", "us") is a technology company based in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing our services. We aim to process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other laws that apply to us.

2. Information we collect

  • Enquiry and quote information: your name, organisation, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, your project description, budget range and timeline.
  • Subscription and account information: your name, business name, email, phone number, chosen plan, website and domain details, and records of invoices, payments, renewals and cancellations.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Paystack or Flutterwave. We receive the payment reference, amount, currency, status and limited card or channel details (such as card type and last four digits). We do not receive or store full card numbers, PINs or CVV codes.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type and basic request logs used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
  • Website content you provide: text, images, logos and other material you send us to build or update your website.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations.
  • To create, host, maintain and support websites and other services you purchase.
  • To process payments, issue receipts, send renewal reminders and notify you of failed payments or changes to your service.
  • To register and renew domain names on your behalf.
  • To keep our systems secure, prevent fraud and comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To send service-related emails. We will only send marketing messages where you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request before entering into one, to comply with legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, and, where required, with your consent.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where necessary with:

  • Payment processors (Paystack and Flutterwave) to take and verify payments.
  • Hosting, database and email delivery providers that run our website and send transactional emails.
  • Domain registrars and registries, which require registrant details to register a domain and may publish some details in public WHOIS/RDAP databases subject to their privacy rules.
  • Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement or courts where required by law.

Some of these providers may store data outside Nigeria. Where this happens we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards.

6. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months after our last contact unless they lead to a contract. We keep customer, invoice and payment records for as long as you are a customer and afterwards for as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes (generally up to six years). Website content is kept for the duration of the service and deleted within a reasonable period after the service ends, unless you ask us to return it first.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted administrative access, server-side payment verification and secrets held outside our application code. No system is completely secure, and we will notify affected customers and the relevant authority of a personal data breach where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, email cholantechsolutions@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to the customer dashboard or admin area and to remember your display preference (light or dark mode). We do not use advertising cookies. Embedded content such as YouTube videos may set their own cookies when you interact with them.

10. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be communicated to active customers by email. See also our Terms and Conditions.
